Ubud Heritage & Cultural Discovery Tour

Step into the cultural heart of Bali with a full-day journey through Ubud and its surrounding areas. This experience is designed for travelers who want to discover Balinese traditions, local arts, spiritual practices, and the natural landscapes that make the region distinctive.

The day begins with a traditional Barong dance performance, followed by visits to cultural landmarks, lush rice terraces, a Balinese Hindu temple, a local coffee plantation, and a peaceful waterfall. With a private English-speaking driver/guide, you can explore each stop at a comfortable pace while learning more about Bali’s culture and daily traditions.

Watch Barong Dance

Begin the tour with a Barong dance performance, one of Bali’s well-known traditional performing arts. The approximately 1-hour show presents the story of the mythical Barong and Rangda through expressive movements, dramatic scenes, music, and traditional costumes.

Beyond its visual performance, the dance reflects elements of Balinese art, culture, and spirituality, providing an engaging introduction to the island’s traditional heritage.

Taman Dedari

Continue to Taman Dedari, a tourism destination in Kedewatan, Ubud, established in early 2021. The name Dedari refers to an angel and is connected with the local legend of Rsi Markandeya, who was said to have witnessed angels descending toward the Ayung River near the area.

Located amid the natural surroundings of Kedewatan, the destination offers an opportunity to experience one of Ubud’s newer cultural and scenic attractions.

Tegalalang Rice Terrace

Visit the famous Tegalalang Rice Terrace and take in the layered green landscape surrounding Ubud. The carefully arranged terraces reflect the close relationship between agriculture and Bali’s natural environment.

Walking through the rice-field surroundings gives you a chance to enjoy the quieter side of Ubud while seeing the traditional rural landscape that has become an important part of the region’s character.

Tirta Empul Holy Water Temple

Discover Tirta Empul Holy Water Temple in Tampaksiring, a revered Balinese Hindu temple known for its natural spring water. The temple is an important spiritual site where visitors can observe the traditional purification ritual carried out in the holy bathing pools.

The spring water is traditionally regarded as sacred and is associated with spiritual cleansing. Visitors can experience the atmosphere of this historic temple while observing the rituals and practices that remain an important part of Balinese Hindu culture.

Coffee Plantation

Take a closer look at Bali’s coffee-making traditions at a local coffee plantation. Surrounded by tropical greenery, the plantation provides an introduction to the journey from coffee beans to the finished drink.

During the visit, you can learn about traditional coffee production and brewing methods while sampling different coffee blends. It is a relaxed stop that combines local agricultural knowledge with the natural scenery around Ubud.

Ulu Petanu Waterfall

Finish the journey at Ulu Petanu Waterfall, a natural attraction surrounded by green hills and tropical vegetation. The waterfall features a relatively large pool where visitors can enjoy a refreshing swim while taking in the surrounding landscape.

Access to the waterfall includes a short walk down a set of stairs, making the route relatively straightforward and convenient for visitors who want to enjoy the waterfall without a long trek.
